The Best Full Body Functional Cardio Routine

When it comes to exercising, there’s one universal truth. Everyone hates cardio. It’s, in my opinion, the hardest series of exercises to do. Despite that, it’s just as necessary as normal strength training. You might be thinking “well I should just run a lot”, well that’s not always the case. Running is an effective form of cardio, but you still need to work on strength as well. With that, Campus Live has the best full body functional cardio routine you can do in the comfort of your own home.

Let me just say right off the bat, you will hate this exercise. The first week of performing this exercise is the worst. I honestly don’t think it’s all that fun, but I prefer strength training anyway. Regardless, it has to be done to maximize not only strength, but of course, cardio. The best part about this cardio workout, however, no equipment is needed. With that, the exercise is as follows,

Cardio Workout

A series of 6 exercises. 10 sets, each exercise 30 seconds each. Rest one minute after the 5th exercise

  • Side to side push ups – 30 seconds
  • Mountain Climbers – 30 seconds
  • Reverse crunches – 30 seconds
  • Jump Squats – 30 seconds
  • High Knees – 30 seconds
  • Planks – 30 seconds

These exercises are meant to tackle each muscle in your body while also getting a good sweat in. It may be awful the first week or so, but by the end you will get used to it. Even though this is designed for beginners, those who are more advanced can get something out of this workout too. Hopefully, this helped you out in finding the best exercise to help burn fat and build muscle. Soon enough, you’ll have a body to show off by the time summer hits and quarantine ends.
