For this edition of the Monthly Mixer, we sat down with Premiere Cinemas Barman/mixologist Jose Lopez. We spoke about the house favorite frozen margaritas and how they’re made.

After we spoke, I did what any other person with a margarita in front of them would do, I drank it. For starters, I opted for the lesser-known yet equally tasty Frozen Strawberry Margarita. Immediately I was surprised at the contrast between how the sweet & sour was infused with mellow notes of strawberry. It met together perfectly in a cold glass, to give me the perfect pre-movie drink.
I’m a sucker for the traditional and soon found myself facing Premiere Cinemas Famous Frozen Margarita. It almost tasted too good to be true. I thought to myself how could a movie theater outdo all the awesome bars in town? Was it the heavy amounts of tequila? Was it José’s professional mixologist touch? Whatever it was I couldn’t stop until it was all gone.
If you’re at Premiere Cinemas this summer, get to your movie early and stop by the bar to see Jose about a margarita. You certainly won’t regret it.
