Texas Tech Spring Baseball at A Glance

Texas Tech baseball season starts February 14th at home in Lubbock TX.

With baseball season around the corner, we are looking forward to another successful season. The Texas Tech community isn’t the only one anticipating this. With three Big 12 titles in four years. Four trips to Omaha, Nebraska in six years. This team has everyone on their toes. D1 Preseason Poll has placed Tech baseball in the top 10 at the No. 6 position. Texas Tech Baseball is both the top-ranked team in Texas as well as the highest-ranked Big 12 team standing ahead of Oklahoma State (22) and Oklahoma (24).

Tim Tadlock will guide the Red Raiders on his eighth season as head coach at Texas Tech. There will be 20 returners from last year’s team including two returning Freshman All-American pitchers, Micah Dallas and Clayton Beeter. Top-ranked college senior John McMillon returns for his final year after being drafted in the 11th round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

The Red Raiders will kick off their season at home, Dan Law at Rip Griffin Park, Friday, February 14th at 1 pm against Houston Baptist. Tech baseball will host four games, two games against Houston Baptist on Friday and Saturday as well as two games against Northern Colorado on Saturday and Sunday.
