What about West Texas keeps your family in this area?
Humberto and I were both born in the Lubbock area and our families have lived here over 40 years. We have lots of connections to the Lubbock community and have always called it home. We are both Lubbock Cooper graduates and Texas Tech Alumni. Humberto is a local business owner and we couldn’t think of anywhere better to raise our family than in Lubbock!
What fun things involving Texas Tech do you and your family enjoy doing?
We love Red Raider Basketball! We always look forward to attending the home games and cheering our Raiders on!
What does your family do recreationally around town?
With Humberto owning a custom automotive shop, we are always attending local hot rod events. Both of our children are learning to play golf, so we spend a lot of time out on the Rawls course.

Community. Friendly. Spirit.
How does your family feel about all of TTU’s recent sports success?
Couldn’t be more proud! A lot of countless hours go into building these teams, and what a great accomplishment it is to have the success that all of our Red Raider teams have experienced over the last couple of seasons. It is such an exciting time for our university and city! Looking forward to what the coming seasons will bring! Wreck ‘Em!
