Perhaps one of the most entertaining places to find something to do in Lubbock is in the Depot District. Located right off Buddy Holly Ave there are many activities, from going to a club/bar or going to see a world-class performance you’re sure to find something to do.

Cactus Theater

The first and one of the most entertaining things to do in the Depot District in Lubbock, Tx is visiting the Cactus Theater. Initially, the restaurant began as a movie theater off of Buddy Holly Ave from 1938-1958. While it was a great source of entertainment then and still is now for music it did stand abandoned for a number of years.

Eventually, it was revamped into one of the local attractions in Lubbock, Tx. Located at 1812 Buddy Holly Ave, the Cactus Theater is definitely an attraction in the depot district to watch a show, visit and explore.

Just around the corner from the center of the Depot District in Lubbock, Texas is the Buddy Holly Center. Arguably one of the most famous and influential music artists that came out of Lubbock, Tx lies his museum. This attraction is a cheap form of entertainment and in a great location to visit to educate yourself over the music and life of Buddy Holly in Lubbock, Texas.

If you’re looking to go out and continue the fun the Depot District has a plethora of places to grab a drink and continue the evening. Many clubs/bars in the scene you can united with your family and friends with the attractions that also surround the area. With several of the places serving food there are many sites with art to see within the region in Lubbock, Tx.

Many of the bars/clubs in the area are bilingual using English and Spanish people of all cultures are invited to come participate in the fun. While a majority of the bars/clubs in the Depot District support a thriving night life in the Lubbock region it provides another thing to do in Lubbock.

And lying near the Depot District is sure to satisfy your hunger with some of the most popular food and service in town.

Located in Lubbock, Texas and open during the day and part of the night the Cast Iron Grill offers some of the best grub in the Lubbock region. With western style environment you are sure to find something on the menu that will fuel your hunger from your travel or if you’re just around the neighborhood.

Offering a variety of entrees, appetizers and alcohol, the Lubbock locally owned restaurant is an excellent place not only to grab a bite to eat. But also a great location for some entertainment. Whether it be for lunch during the day or in the evening at night.

Another one of Lubbock’s best hidden secrets is Big E’s BBQ. Located inside of Klusoz Martini Lounge the BBQ joint offers a variety of mouth watering food. Just across the street from many of the bars and clubs in the district it is a great option. Whether you’ve been out or if you’re just looking for a bite to eat.

If you’re looking to do some shopping in the Depot District just down the street lies some of Lubbock’s most popular travel shopping. Juxtaposh lies just down the road on 1701 Buddy Holly Ave. With no search because of the proximity to the district the business hold true to the Lubbock Culture. A variety of content to choose from it is a must go-to experience in Lubbock.
